Homestay Accommodation

OISE Oxford's commitment to excellence goes beyond purely academic matters to include all aspects of your stay. In this respect accommodation is very much an integral part of the course.

Staying with a host family is a most enriching experience.  Primarily it completes the learning process as it allows English to develop outside of the classroom. Meals are eaten with the family providing an excellent opportunity to practice English learnt in school that day.

To maximise the opportunities for speaking the language, OISE has a policy of never allowing two students of the same mother tongue to stay in any one host family.

OISE Oxford has a large range of host families and so if a student has any special requests such as allergies or special dietary requirements which should be able to find a suitable option.

Each host family has their own unique character but all offer as standard:

1. a single room
2. a quiet area to study
3. breakfast & evening meal shared with the family
4. and above all the opportunity to experience life in an English home.

Each host family has been carefully selected to ensure that they have a genuine interest in welcoming foreign students and that they meet OISE Oxford's high standards. Routine inspections and student feedback insure these high standards are maintained.
